Mathematicians from the Cameroon

The first Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cameroon we know was George Edward Njock in 1970 but Henri Hogbe Nlend was the Founding President of the African Mathematical Union (1975-1986). However, recently I received a letter claiming a Gregory Tanyi was the first Cameroonian to earn a Ph.D. in Mathematics (1964).
