Dr. Joseph's dissertation research focused on the development of an interactive cirrus cloud radiative (solar and infrared) parameterization that accounts for scattering (solar) and absorption by nonspherical ice crystals and the implementation of this parameterization into the University at Albany's version of the NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) GENESIS GCM. He completed his postdoctoral appointment at the Atmospherics Sciences Research Center (ASRC) SUNY University at Albany. At Howard University he is also a principle investigator in the Center for the Study of Terrestrial and Extraterrestrial Atmospheres (CSTEA).
